Revitalizing and renovating the Looby Center is one of my priorities. The Titans have agreed to partner with the Looby Center in this endeavor. As you know, the Titans’ headquarters is located in our community. Their campus includes a state-of-the-art training facility. Our children who use the Looby Center, in the same neighborhood, should also get to enjoy a state-of-the-art facility. That is the goal. You can find out more about the project here.
You are always welcome to voice your comments or concerns over a piece of legislation. Feel free to email me directly at kyonzte.toombs@nashville.gov or email the entire Council at councilmembers@nashville.gov
TIDBITS
Metro Water Services still needs volunteers to Adopt a Storm Drain. Keeping drains clear of sticks, leaves, and trash can help prevent flooding during the big rain events that seem to be happening more and more frequently. To adopt a storm drain near you, click here.
BUILDING PERMITS:
I GET LOTS OF QUESTIONS REGARDING DEVELOPMENTS, RENOVATIONS, ETC. SOME PROJECTS DO NOT FALL UNDER THE PURVIEW OF THE COUNCIL. HOWEVER, ALL PERMITS ARE RECORDED AND TRACKED BY THE CODES DEPARTMENT. YOU CAN USE THIS LINK HERE TO SEARCH FOR ANY ADDRESS AND SEE IF A PERMIT HAS BEEN PULLED. YOU CAN VIEW ALL PERMITS IN THE DISTRICT BY CLICKING “COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.” OF COURSE, IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS, CONTACT ME.
Please call 311 (HubNashville), go to hub.nashville.gov, or download the HubNashville app on your phone to file complaints regarding missed trash pickup, potholes, broken guardrails, illegal dumping, overgrown grass in your neighbor’s yard, etc. Filing a complaint creates a ticket, which is trackable, so that your concern doesn’t fall through the cracks. The complaints also create data that backs up my requests for more resources for our district.
